Independent makers can now book four afternoon sessions each week at Denver General’s RiNo motion clinic. The lab combines high-resolution tendon mapping with short rehabilitation plans and printed supports, with referrals accepted through the new independent-worker tendon program.

These sessions are for injuries that do not warrant emergency care but cannot safely be left to rest, the clinic said. Painters, jewelers, instrument repairers and rail-shop workers took most of the first week’s appointments.

Small rail-district shops will get supervised evening access to Henshaw Rail Works’ autonomous fit cell. It scans warped salvage stock, proposes cuts and holds pieces for welding. Union fabricators pressed the company to retain a human induction requirement, saying the machine’s safest plan was not always the useful one.

The first twelve slots go to makers already working with Henshaw offcuts and relay cabinets. Participants can take their work with them, but the cell’s cut files stay behind.

After nearly nine hours of matching its irregular spin, Pacific Orbital Recovery Yard captured the derelict communications satellite Kestrel-44 on Thursday, operators said. A battery fire had left the satellite tumbling in a crowded transfer orbit for eighteen months.

The recovery team will remove the propellant and solar wings, then decide whether the pressure hull can return to service. Insurers had classified Kestrel-44 as debris. Its capture now gives operators a working precedent for recovering larger dead assets instead of abandoning their orbital slots.

At 4:40, Cass found Hollis at the loading-bay worktable, scraping dried blue from a roller tray with a utility blade. He set his wrist over the table and opened a message in the air between them: RiNo motion clinic, two afternoons, acoustic panels in the rehab corridor, ground-level paint layout included. The fee was split by task. “They need somebody who can make a hallway look less like a hallway,” he said. “I said I knew somebody.”

Hollis did not look at the number. “You said I could climb?” Cass looked at her jacket, at the right sleeve she had kept tugging down all week. “I said you could paint lines on the floor.” Her laugh came out once, flat. Then she unzipped the jacket enough for the brace to show. “Partial tear, six weeks, no overhead—and if you turn that into a reason to watch me, I walk.” Cass closed the message. “Then I will not.”

She scraped the blade clean against the tray’s rim. “Send them my name. Not my arm.” Cass nodded once. Hollis finally looked at the fee, then at him. “And your sound thing better not need saving.” “It is already beyond saving,” he said. “That is why they hired me.” She took the roller handle in her left hand and went back to work.
