A resident’s night-route access credit is active again after the Human Review Corps’ first public decision. The corps found that the transit authority’s allocation system had used an outdated household address and ordered the credit restored while the authority makes the decision again.

The order does not put the corps in charge of transit. It tells the authority to identify the evidence behind its decision, accept new evidence in person, and issue a reconsidered decision within forty-eight hours. Supporters of the Right to a Human measure said the modest case showed why it mattered: a human appeal changed the result before the system had finished explaining its refusal.

From the worldRiverfront Designs Meet Denver on Full-Scale Street Panelscultural · denver · magnitude 0.31

Along the temporary pedestrian route beside the old rail yards, Denver has installed full-scale fragments from each of the six riverfront finalists. People can leave recorded comments or handwritten cards beside the proposals, or join scheduled evening walks. The commission said the panels are not a vote; the jury will receive the public record before conducting its final interviews.

At sidewalk height, the work is harder to keep at the level of renderings. Planted flood steps, shade structures, apartment fronts and rendered plazas now face the dust, freight noise and afternoon glare they are supposed to answer.

The European Space Agency’s autonomous repair dock has coupled with the disabled Hestia-4 orbital refinery and restarted its coolant circulation, the agency said. After seven months of drift, the platform had threatened to become a debris hazard. Without sending a crew, the dock replaced two damaged thermal-pump assemblies and reoriented the refinery.

Hestia-4 processes nickel and cobalt feedstock from lunar transfer depots. Its operator said commercial output may resume after a forty-day systems check, restoring a supply line that manufacturers across three continents had already begun pricing around as lost.

At 9:15, the north kitchen held the day’s heat in the concrete. Wren came down for ice and found a Gallery printout facedown beside Ondine’s mug. She turned it over before Ondine could reach across the table. The proposed label put the window photograph above one clipped line from Wren’s statement: I was alive in that room.

“Don’t,” Wren said. Ondine stopped with her hand around the mug. On the second page, the exhibition request had a receipt mark from Friday. Wren looked at it, then at her. “You had this.” Ondine’s mouth tightened. “It came Friday.” “And you thought you would wait until what?” “I thought if I answered, it would be another answer about you.” Wren slid the pages back across the table without sitting down. “They do not get to put my sentence under it.”

Ondine looked at the line the Gallery had lifted, then folded the printout once, badly, across Wren’s name. “No,” she said. Wren did not thank her. She took the ice tray upstairs, leaving the freezer open long enough for its alarm to begin calling after her.

At 7:18, Hollis stood beneath the freight-door fan with a riverfront site map spread across an upturned paint bucket. She kept flattening the paper with her left hand. Her right arm stayed close under the overshirt, too still for the heat. Cass came in from the alley with his wrist lit by the broker’s removed-listing notice, saw the map, and started past her toward the stairs.

“The street panels need a listening line,” Hollis said. “Recorded comments, six positions, one night. Their installer quit because the route moved.” Cass stopped with one foot on the first tread. “You have people.” “I have a crew for paint.” She looked at his wrist, not quite at the notice. “Three hundred eighty for tomorrow night, direct from Riverfront, and you do not touch a ladder for me.”

He laughed once, thinly. “That your new way of telling me to stay in my lane?” Hollis folded the map along the dead rail spur. “It is the lane I am paying for.” The brace edge showed when she reached for her jacket, and Cass looked away before she could catch him doing it. “Send the call sheet,” he said. Hollis nodded, already walking toward the hall. “Be there at four. If you make this into concern, I replace you.”
