Independent shops can reserve short lengths, plate offcuts and pre-cleaned fasteners twice a week at Henshaw Rail's North Denver calibration bay. The material comes from the repair contract, so shops no longer have to accept whatever full pieces the exchange can move. The first list was gone before noon, with most of it headed to welding, repair and set-building shops along the old industrial corridors.

A new dimensional scan at the bay certifies each cut's alloy, fatigue history and usable thickness. Henshaw said prices would stay close to handling cost for the two-year life of the repair contract. Collection remains the shops' responsibility.

Workers at three high-work sites received the RiNo tendon program's first portable shoulder load-mapping visit Thursday. The sites included a scaffold yard off Brighton Boulevard and a sign-painting cooperative in Elyria-Swansea. In less than twenty minutes, the unit maps overhead reach, nerve response and compensating movement, then prints a fitted support pattern for the clinic's evening fabrication desk.

The service is voluntary and paid for through the district's public occupational-health pool. Clinicians said they want to catch the injuries workers have learned to dismiss as stiffness before those injuries become tears. The fixed clinic continues to take appointments without an employer referral.

Wren stood near the workbench, her braced hand tucked into her coat pocket, while Cass leaned over the communal terminal. His recorder case lay open beside the keyboard. The foam cutout was empty.

“The credit cleared,” Cass said. “Six hundred. North studio.” Wren looked from the payment notice to the case. “What did you sell?” He shut the case. “The recorder.” Teo stopped the grinder; the wheel spun down in a thin, offended whine. Wren said, “You had no right to pay that room.” Cass’s mouth pulled once. “No. I had a debt.” He opened the shared project folder, selected the drainpipe file, and removed her access. “I sold the recorder and put six hundred on your studio; you do not get the drainpipe file.”

Wren stepped toward the terminal, then stopped because the screen had already changed. “That isn’t repayment,” she said. “That’s you doing what Nuri did.” Cass picked up the empty case. “Then hate it accurately.” Teo put the grinder down on the bench but did not move between them. Wren looked through the shop doorway toward the north stairs, where the red canvas waited with its bracket bare. “The room was never yours to keep for me,” she said. Cass nodded once, as if she had confirmed a measurement, and went out into the freight-door wind.
