At the Five Points service hall, a correction-desk worker put a set of rear-entry addresses back on the map after Denver’s routing model had folded them into a vacant commercial parcel. Home-care and delivery dispatches can now reach the residents’ actual doors. Wednesday’s temporary authority made the correction binding across city systems.

The model’s vendor sought a suspension while it examined the parcel data. The city refused: the correction will stand for thirty days unless a human review panel overturns it. Supporters of the Right to a Human measure called the decision the policy’s first real test. Opponents said one desk worker had changed shared infrastructure before a technical appeal was complete.

Small-account customers beside the Clear Creek industrial feeder began receiving stored night cooling Friday, when a thermal-storage bank opened its release. Through the weekend, participating workshops will have a dependable operating window from noon to four. The pilot is minor beside the recovery capacity reserved by the large plants, but it gives the district’s smaller tenants a set period to work instead of whatever cooling industrial demand leaves behind.

Studios and repair shops need no new equipment beyond the older water-side exchangers already common in the flats. The utility will compare the trial with the South Platte releases before deciding whether to extend it into August.

The first habitable truss frame built entirely from retired communications satellites has been locked together at Asterion’s reuse yard, the company announced Friday. The assembly includes the failed Sagan-4 relay, which Asterion began towing last week. It will be fitted out in orbit instead of brought back to Earth; Asterion called the lock a step from decades of stranded hardware to certified station stock.

No crew occupies the structure yet. Insurers and launch cooperatives had already treated the successful lock as the practical start of a cheaper orbital construction market. Debris-removal advocates warned that demand for old satellites would make custody and salvage rights sharply more valuable.

At 6:26, in the cooling-dark loading bay, Nuri had the commission portal thrown large against the wall. The new field sat beneath Teo’s reference: DISCLOSE CURRENT PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP. Hollis, on a low crate with her bad arm tucked against her ribs, was washing black paint from the edge of a brush in a jar. Teo came in from the freight door and saw his name before Nuri looked around.

“They added it this afternoon,” Nuri said. “I did not add you.” Teo put his lunch tin on the worktable. “Then answer it.” Nuri’s hand stayed over the choices. Collaborator. Former collaborator. No ongoing professional relationship. Hollis said, without looking up, “Don’t make a little shrine out of a form.” Nuri chose the last one. The confirmation pulse crossed the wall in pale green. “That is the last correct thing I can say about us,” they said.

Teo watched the saved record settle under his reference. His jaw worked once. “Tuesday is still yours,” he said. Nuri closed the portal instead of asking what he meant. Hollis capped the paint jar with her good hand and said to Teo, “You wanted your name out of it.” He picked up his lunch tin and went through the shop door without answering either of them.

At 10:06, the north studio was cool for once, the Clear Creek release pushing a thin breath through the high vent. Wren stood on the step stool, laying a dirty blue along the edge of a panel, when Cass knocked once against the locked door and held his terminal up to the wired glass. Riverfront’s attestation window counted down in the corner.

“They want an answer by noon,” he said. “If you say anything now, it freezes the review.” Wren climbed down without setting the brush in solvent. He looked at the paint on her fingers instead of at her face. “Give me until Friday.”

“For what?”

He swallowed. “For the 438 to do what it was supposed to do.”

Wren took the terminal when he passed it through the narrow service slot beneath the door. The form offered three choices. Cass said, “Wren,” softly, as if that was already an argument. She pressed DECLINE TO ATTEST SOLE AUTHORSHIP. The screen changed to PRELIMINARY PROVENANCE REVIEW OPEN. She gave the terminal back through the slot. Cass did not take it at first. “You could have waited six days,” he said. Wren wiped the blue brush across a rag until the white cloth went dark. “You could have left our name off it.”
