Correction crews found freight doors, service passages and pedestrian approaches missing from Denver’s address model, and the civic-image commission has rebuilt its final round around those gaps. Each remaining render team will follow an assigned live district route, then submit an image set with a handwritten account of what the route’s systems failed to recognize.

One route runs through the old rail district. The commission said the assignment is not a measure of draftsmanship. It is meant to show whether a public image can make room for the parts of the city that databases have taught people not to see.

On Friday, three Denver institutions that supplied rooms, credentials and insurance cover for the private hosting circuit released their internal approval records. The records name the staff and outside sponsors who authorized gatherings described in Velez’s account. Two former approvers challenged his chronology, but neither challenged the fact that the rooms had been arranged outside ordinary public programming.

The releases do not show who attended every event. They do, however, remove the useful uncertainty around how the gatherings gained legitimacy. Several smaller arts organizations said they would publish their own records rather than leave the larger institutions in control of the account.

At 8:03 p.m., the paint bay had gone blue at the windows. Hollis stood at the wall panel with her left thumb pressed to the booking screen. Cass came through the side door carrying a coil of speaker cable, stopped when he saw the Riverfront logo reflected on her face.

“You put me on Lift Three,” she said. Her right arm stayed close to her side beneath the sleeve. “Seven-thirty. Thirty-second Street gate.”

“It’s the cleanest place to hear the return off the panels.” Cass set the cable down carefully. “I thought you shouldn’t have to climb scaffolding.”

Hollis looked at him then, flat enough to make the explanation sound foolish. “You thought you could build a morning where I had no choice but to be useful.” Her thumb moved. The lift reservation vanished. “You do not get to arrange my body so you can get your signature.”

His face tightened. “That isn’t what I did.”

“It is exactly what you did.” She shut the panel. “Put your speakers at ground level. I’ll hear it from the service walk. If it needs a lift to work, it doesn’t work.”

Cass picked up the cable again, this time too quickly. “And the six hundred?”

Hollis opened the paint-bay door with her left hand. Hot rail-district air came in around them. “Still money,” she said. “Not access.”

His phone lit against the bench. He looked at the name, then answered before it could route to text. Dennis’s voice came thin and careful through the speaker. “Henshaw says she is eleven-forty behind. I can clear that with yours. You come out next week, we talk like adults.” Teo’s shoulders went still. “Her name was for a clinic,” he said. “And you do not get to put a price on it.” He ended the call.

Wren had stopped two steps above the floor. “You knew there was an offer.” Teo set the magnet down, not near her. “I knew what he called it.” “You don’t get to refuse things for me.” He looked at the open freight door, at the strip of hot alley beyond it. “No,” he said. “I don’t.” Wren went past him without filling the tin. The freight door banged against its stop behind her, and Teo did not follow.
