The three civic-render finalists will bring working neighborhood models to staffed kiosks in Five Points, Sun Valley and Montbello before they turn in their final work. Denver’s Office of Public Interfaces wants residents to mark doors that are missing, access paths that are wrong, and routes that appear usable on the model but fail a chair, a cart or a child.
The requirement comes after last week’s address-correction walks. Staff at the kiosks will be authorized to enter corrections, not simply gather comments. For Nuri Alvear, whose finalist model is built around the polished wrongness of official-looking Denver, the final round now puts the commission’s former background noise directly in public view.

Crews working outside on Denver’s north side had to leave the walls Tuesday afternoon when a compact hail cell moved from Globeville through Park Hill and eastward. Wind-driven rain lifted fresh masking from two commercial facades and left newly applied coatings unusable until the surfaces could dry and be checked.
Wall Commons kept its after-dark walls open and made covered staging space available to crews whose daylight shifts were cut short. Once the cell passed, the heat returned; by sunset, the brick districts were steaming.

Nine people with incomplete thoracic injuries are walking outdoors without continuous device supervision, according to eighteen-month results released Tuesday by the Cape Town Mobility Clinic. The spinal-bridge system combines residual nerve signals with an adaptive stimulation sleeve. All nine still need rehabilitation, and the clinic did not describe any of them as cured.

At 5:26, hail ticked against the darkroom skylight hard enough to blur the alley light. Wren came in for the painting she had left against the tile wall and saw the printer strip curled beside the developer bottles: NORTH STUDIO HOLD, CLEARED. Her name sat under the unit line. Six hundred credits sat under that.
Ondine was rinsing a contact sheet at the sink. She did not cover the receipt. “It was due at four,” she said.
Wren picked up the strip by one corner. The paper trembled once, then held still. “You paid it.” Ondine nodded. “You had a month.” Wren looked from the receipt to her, rainwater darkening the shoulders of her shirt. “You do not get to buy the part where I stay.” Ondine turned off the tap. “I know.” She did not say she had meant it differently. Wren left the painting where it was and took the receipt with her.
