A week of documented routing failures led Denver’s Regional Transit Board to vote Sunday night for human dispatch review of its access system. Riders using mobility aids had been sent to closed platforms and routes with no usable curb transfers. The order targets the known error class first; riders will not have to appeal each trip separately.

Organizers with Right to a Human called the narrow decision the working form of their ballot measure’s promise: fix a system once it is known to be wrong, instead of making a resident spend an afternoon proving the same thing. Transit officials said the staffed review desk will remain in place through the summer heat schedule, while the routing model is retrained.

Painters, riggers, tree crews and other workers who spend their days with an arm above shoulder height can now get tendon mapping and load plans the same week at Denver’s public rehabilitation clinics. The service pairs a quick soft-tissue scan with a printed brace pattern and a staged return-to-load schedule. Follow-up care is covered by the city health pool.

Wall Commons was listed among the first partner sites in the rollout. Its exterior-work coordinator said the findings let crews shift painters to ground-level projection and layout work before a minor tear turns into an injury that ends a season.

The Indian Ocean Circular Materials Consortium commissioned its first operating orbital aluminum refinery Monday. It processed hull sections from two defunct communications satellites into standardized stock for station frames. Built in a high-inclination service orbit, the facility is meant to accept failed equipment that might otherwise spend years waiting for controlled descent.

The consortium said the first production run will provide replacement trusses for weather and relay platforms already in orbit. Insurers and launch operators welcomed the opening as a way to reduce salvage queues. Environmental monitors said the harder measure will be whether operators actually send old hardware to the refinery, rather than taking its existence as permission to leave more behind.

At 5:41, the Wall Commons booking panel cast its pale grid across the freight-bay table. Wren stood with one finger on the August calendar while Cass coiled the ground-line cable at her feet. Hollis came in from the heat carrying a paper cup of melted ice and stopped at the blank square on August 3.

“My elevation test was here,” Hollis said. Wren looked at the panel instead of her. “It was. I cleared it.” Cass’s hands stopped on the cable. Wren said, too quickly, “You have imaging at the end of the month. You do not need a scaffold rehearsal sitting there like a dare.” Hollis put the cup down hard enough to spill water over the table seam. “It is my dare if it is one.”

Wren finally faced her. “I did not tell anyone why.” “That is not the decent part you think it is.” Hollis wiped the water with the heel of her left hand, leaving the right arm close against her side. “You do not get to make me absent and call it friendship.” Cass opened his mouth, saw Wren’s face, and bent back to the cable. Wren did not restore the booking. Hollis walked out through the freight door without slamming it.
